This 2008 Israeli animated film written and directed by Ari Folman...It explores Folmans real life experiences from the Lebanon war...There are gapes in Folmans memories of the war....So he quests for his lost experiences ....His psyche turns out to be protecting him from the nightmares of the Sabra and Shatila Massacres....Which the Israel Defence forces may have been indirectly responsible for .... The massacres where carried out on the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in West Beirut on the 16th And 18th of Sept. 1982....A disputed number of Palestinians And Lebanese civilians where killed...The animation is really well done and critical to the films mood The cartoons are Folmans memories in dramatic high contrast ....Much more pleasing to the eye then the realities of war....Waltz with Bashir was nominated for the Palmed'Or at Cannes,Nominated for a Oscar best foreign language,And won the Golden Globe in that same category...This is a brilliant film extremely insightful
